About the Program

The Architectural Awareness Program teams up middle school students with local architects who come to the school and work directly with the students.

An interactive project focuses on relating architect skills to classroom learning so students see the connection between school and work.

Working together with a teacher and their assigned architect, participants are guided and mentored through the process of designing an adaptive re-use project within their community. Students gain a better understanding of their community and develop a variety of STEM related skills through hands-on learning.
